Wade Begrow

Wade Begrow is the Microbiology and Food Safety Manager at Founders Brewing Company in Grand Rapids, MI. He is an avid fan of quality beer and has a strong interest in brewing microbiology and food safety. His interests include traditional and advanced microbiological techniques to detect bacterial and fungal beer spoilers in the brewing process. He is a member of the MBAA Food Safety Committee and serves on the board for MBAA District Michigan.

Wade is a second-generation graduate from Lyman Briggs College at Michigan State University. He earned a B.S. in Biology in 2009 and completed his M.S. in Food Safety in 2014. Additionally, Wade is a part-time Assistant Lecturer at Southern Illinois University at the Fermentation Science Institute (FSI) in Carbondale, IL.
