
Daniel Vollmer

Dan Vollmer is currently the Technology Manager at Fluent Beverages, a Canadian-based joint-venture between Labatt/ABInbev and Tilray Inc to produce cannabis infused beverages. At Fluent, he focuses on cannabis nanoemulsions, process development, and data science for the operations team. Prior to this, Dan was the Zone Technical Expert for Anheuser-Busch North America for Hops and Craft Cross-brewing. In that role, his responsibilities were twofold: hop related efforts around supply and quality between growers, suppliers, and brewers and on cross-brewing sustainability initiatives for sensory excellence and process improvement/optimization. In 2016, Dan received his Ph.D. in Food & Fermentation Science from Oregon State University as part of the Shellhammer Lab. In 2012, he earned the IBD’s Diploma in Brewing after studying at the UC Davis Master Brewers Program. Dan has both his M.S. and B.S. in Food Science & Technology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
