Todd Olander

Todd Olander is a fifth-generation farmer and a first-generation maltster. Raised on his family’s farm, Todd has combined traditional legacy with cutting-edge regenerative farming practices, making him a trailblazer in the movement for a resilient agricultural future. Beyond the fields, he opened Root Shoot Malting in 2016, a craft malthouse which processes the grain grown on his family farm. Additionally, Todd launched Root Shoot Spirits in 2023, a unique single malt whiskey that embodies the terroir of his family's land. Through these ventures, Todd links farmers to the craft beverage industry and promotes the importance of traceability and environmental responsibility in agricultural products.
