Dr. Paul Chlup holds both the MSc in Brewing and Distilling and PhD in Brewing degrees, obtained from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, UK.
Dr Chlup’s primary area of research was in centrifugation processes and their effect on yeast physiology. He has published widely in journals such as Journal of Brewing and Journal of American Society of Brewing Chemists. His work in centrifugation has been warmly accepted in the numerous presentations he has given in Europe, the United Kingdom, Australia and the United States.
Dr Chlup has gained vast amount of practical brewing industry experience over the past 25 years, most recently as a brewing Quality Manager. Currently he oversees quality assurance at Great Central brewing Company in Chicago, IL.
