Mike Sutherland

Mike Sutherland started his brewing career in December of 2015 with New District Brewing company in Arlington, Va. A love for the craft and a desire for constant improvement led him to pursue a formal brewing education from the World Brewing Academy. In 2019 Mike began working at Old Ox Brewery, where he was part of a team producing multiple award-winning beers, and even dabbled in cider making and distilled spirits. At the end of 2022, Mike took over as Brewmaster at Old Bust Head Brewing Company in Vint Hill Virginia. In this role Mike seeks to continue producing high quality and award winning beers, all while working to further Old Bust Head’s goal of being a leader in environmentally friendly brewing.
