Kim currently works as a Quality Lab Specialist for Surly Brewing Company. Most of her time is dedicated to microbiology, with a specific interest in the detection and control of spoilage organisms. She is actively working on the growth of Surly’s microbiology program and the improvement of current practices in the QA/QC laboratory. In addition to researching potentially useful methods of analysis, she has focused her efforts on studying and cataloging the microbial communities of their two production facilities.
