Jace Marti

Jace Marti is the assistant brewmaster at the August Schell Brewing Company, and a sixth generation family descendand. Starting in production right out of high school, Jace has worked in all facets of the brewery over the past 19 years at Schell's. A graduate of the University of Minnesota Duluth, Jace went on to study brewing at the VLB in Berlin, and interned at breweries in Germany and Austria. Since returning, Jace has been focused on quality improvement both at Schell’s and through state technical boards. He launched the sour program at Schell's in 2012, focusing exclusively on the Berliner Weisse style of beer. Jace is currently the president of the St. Paul/Minneapolis MBAA chapter, and previously served two terms on the Minnesota Brewers Guild Board.
