Christina Schmidt studied food chemistry at the Technical University of Munich. After her doctoral studies at the Chair of Food Chemistry and Molecular Sensory Science of the TUM, she served for the Bitburger Brewery in the research and development department. In May 2012 she started working for Hopsteiner in the field of special analytics and sensory science.
