Michael Mosher

Michael Mosher received his B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Idaho, an M.S. in Organic Chemistry from Dartmouth College, and a doctorate in Organic Chemistry from Texas Tech University. He taught chemistry at the University of Idaho, the University of Nebraska at Kearney, and the University of Northern Colorado. He started the brewing laboratory science program at the University of Northern Colorado in 2014. He has received numerous awards for teaching and research with both undergraduate and graduate students and has received local and regional awards in Research, Teaching, and Service. He is the author of three textbooks (two in brewing science) and >50 research publications and patents in both organic chemistry and brewing. He obtained his Diploma in Brewing qualification from the Institute of Brewing and Distilling and is currently working on completing a thesis for the Master Brewer qualification.

Outside of the academic world, he is the co-owner and lead brewer of RULE 105 Brewing in Greeley, CO. Although his brewery is relatively small, he is constantly focussed on improving beer production methods.
